I cannot figure out where the downloaded file is. By this I mean, when on my company server, I click on "download" but I cannot find it on my iPad. If I can find it, I should be able to open in in either Numbers or Excel.
Where is the file? I do already have Excel on the iPad Pro. When I download the files using my macbook pro, the file goes to the "downloads" file. I can then open it in Excel. But, on the iPad, I cannot find the file. Where is it? I am not sure how your company server is set up, but the iPad file system is not user accessible. Have you checked to see if it downloads to the app? If not, the easiest way to do this would be to email the file to yourself and then open the file in either Excel or Numbers direct from the email.
Before I posted this question, I googled the question and the closest post I saw was using Quick Office or other apps that are designed for downloading pdf files. If you can't email the file to yourself, it looks like Dropbox is a quick and cheap solution.
Your suggestion requires me to email the report. My company query tool only allows me to export But I can see how your suggestion would work if I could indeed email the file. Where does it go then? Can you grab it from that location and email it to yourself?
